I see the damndest things while out on my runs.

Sailboat covered in tiny mirrors

How long did it take to stick all those tiny mirrors on?

The Mask

This sight welcomes visitors at one of the entrances to Barmy Park in Bethnal Green. Looks like we're back to creepy:

Sun behind brick post with a mask on it

Though of course that's open to interpretation. :-)

Paint-streaked mask on brick

I'm prepared to go with "disturbing", for example.

A Novel Conundrum

The graphic novel section in my local library used to be in a logical place, on a shelf under the SF/F section. Unfortunately, it disappeared for a few months.

Well, the good news is that the section now merits two shelves. The bad news is that it starts at floor level in the children's library, close to the picture books.

The new section does contain graphic novels aimed at children but they're mixed in with the ones for older readers. Stuff like Gaiman and McKean's Swamp Thing and Peter David's Fallen Angel.

The question is, do I let the kids sort themselves out or should I have a word with the librarians?
