Some clever advertising agency organised a dance invasion of Liverpool Street Station, which I missed due to being in NZ. The later one in Antwerp Centraal is better though:

Silly Sign

Moving to London was the first time I saw the phenomenon known as anti-climb paint. The wall looked like a regular painted wall, except for 1) the sign saying "anti-climb paint" and 2) the footprints at head height that showed up beautifully against the white. An illiterate snail was sliding its way up the wall next to the warning, causing me to regret the absence of a camera.

But this will do instead:
Anti-climb paint sign on a cage

Let Love Be Your Energy

This just happened while I was out. After I paid the cashier, one of the waiting customers said something to me. I couldn't make out what he said but thought it was about my t-shirt. Wrong. He wanted to tell me that I had "a beautiful healing energy" and that I should do Reiki or something similar. Seriously, he didn't want anything from me, he was being nice. So I thanked him and left the pharmacy where I'd been seeking advice for my sad sinusitis-ridden self.

P.S. On the way home, I was hassled twice by men. Positive thoughts, positive thoughts...

First Day of Summer

Today is officially the first day of summer. Today is grey and dull. Today I have a cold. Which means they're probably basking in hot sunshine in NZ.

Thus to YouTube for amusement. Brother's flatmate showed us some Aussies taking the piss out of the Kiwi accent in Beached Whale. I think it's hilarious but am not sure if the humour travels. If it doesn't, you can always watch more Flight of the Conchords. This musical comedy duo are so popular here that, once people have established I'm not Australian, they ask about Flight of the Conchords instead of Lord of the Rings which I thought was going to follow me round forever.
